Basketball Event Branding

California Baptist University’s Recreation Center hosts an annual intramural basketball championship in the CBU Events Center, known as CBU JAM. For the Spring 2025 rock-and-roll–themed event, I led the full design campaign—including event posters, digital signage, jumbotron graphics, player visuals, and an Instagram recap carousel. I began by creating the event logo, moving through multiple iterations and refining the design with feedback from professional staff before final approval. From there, I developed a cohesive suite of promotional graphics to build awareness across campus. These were displayed on A-frames, as well as 8.5x11 and 11x17 posters placed throughout campus facilities. I also photographed each player by setting up a small studio environment, producing portraits that were used for team posters and individual walk-out graphics in the event center. To round out the experience, every student attendee received a custom event T-shirt.

This was my photography setup to capture the individual player shots which were used on the individual player slides and team posters. I went with a simple white backdrop to make masking easier in post.
