California Baptist University’s Recreation Center hosts an annual intramural football championship game called Fortuna Bowl on our front lawn. The Recreation department brings in bleachers and paints the lawn with logos and field marks. It is an all-time favorite CBU event and even brings in people from the community. For the Fall 2025 cinema-themed event, I led the full design campaign—including event posters, digital signage, jumbotron graphics, player visuals, Instagram graphics, and merch. I began by creating the event posters, moving through multiple iterations and refining the design with feedback from professional staff before final approval. To build awareness across campus, They were displayed on A-frames, as well as 8.5x11 and 11x17 posters placed throughout campus facilities. The goal was to have them look like cinematic movie posters that highlighted our campus, event space, and event activities. I designed a wordmark and logo for the event. I also photographed each player by setting up a small studio environment, producing portraits that were used for team posters and individual walk-out graphics while each player ran out of a tunnel before their game. To round out the experience, every player received a custom T-shirt with this year's logo on it. The weekend the event happened, Southern California got a lot of rain, but the games went on. In order to photograph the game, my marketing team had to create homemade covers for our cameras to keep them safe.
